THE MAN BEHIND
GOBBIE
Becoming the World's greatest Robbie Williams tribute wasn't probably scripted for the life of Jamie Reeves, but then again, nothing in my life ever has been.

Born in Shrewsbury on 29th August 1975, my family aren’t known amongst showbiz circles. In fact, my Dad is an electrician and his Mum is a retired nurse.

My first job in entertainment was working as a DJ in the Gloucester pubs and clubs, the town where I grew up, then from there I went to do my first summer season in Majorca, where I got my first taste of the stage, taking part in the resort animation team shows.

From then on in I went to work for Haven in the Isle of Wight, learning my craft as an entertainer and vocalist. Soon after completing that season I got snapped up for what seemed to be my biggest break.

I was picked to be part of a Boyband project headed by Ian Levine (the producer of the first Take That album who first used Robbie as a vocalist on could it be magic and i found heaven) and Daniel Glatman (who went on to manage Blue). We were due to sign to the same record label as Louise and Eternal but the record label went for The Honeyz instead.

The next stage in my career was to work with Mr Jerry Lane, touring theatres and cabaret clubs in his revue show, while doing this I got involved with another boy band project which didn't get off the ground.

Not put off by the boyband failings I decided to pen my own material and work with some producers as a solo artist. I worked with Ville & Matt Leppanen from Animal Farm, who have worked with a vast array of artists from Blink 182, Shakin Stevens, Nik Kershaw, Sinead Quinn and many more. I also had the pleasure of working with Charles Foskett, who has produced amongst many others Elvis Costello and all four members of the Beatles.

While doing this I helped fund my own material by doing extra work and had some great fun messing around in various adverts, films and all the top UK soaps such as Eastenders, Coronation Street, Hollyoaks, Emmerdale. One of my silliest claims to fame is that I learnt to ride a moped on Albert Square!!

Then seven years ago I created my Robbie and Rat Pack tributes, I packed my bags and went to live in Cyprus, between Ayia Napa and Protaras. This is the place where I perfected my tribute shows and more importantly, I met my beautiful wife, Claire.

I'm now back in the UK living in Wigan, with Claire, who I married in Jamaica, earlier this year.

To say I'm a very happy man would be an understatement, I absolutely love my work and love my life!!
